Aria Health 2015 Meeting of Families/Papal Visit Update Page

During the past several weeks, Aria Health has been working with the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) and its Delaware Valley Hospital Chapter (DVHC) to coordinate efforts and information regarding the 2015 Meeting of Families (September 22 – 27) and the arrival to Philadelphia of Pope Francis (September 26 – 27).

Like all hospitals in the Southeastern PA region, Aria Health is developing plans so we can operate as smoothly and normally as possible during the Papal Visit. Our number one priority is to make sure that we can meet any immediate health care needs of patients and communities during that time frame.

This page will provide information you need to know with regard to Aria’s operations (office closings, service changes, alternative travel routes, etc.) throughout the Meeting of Families and Papal Visit. Please check back to this page frequently so you can have the information you need to ensure your best possible health and peace of mind during this unprecedented event.

Other Resources

HAP/DVHC have created a web page about preparation for the Papal Visit. The web page includes information about accessing hospital care during the visit, including suggestions for expectant moms who are due or go into labor through this time period.

The most important thing to remember is that wherever you are in southeastern Pennsylvania, you can call 911 for help getting to a hospital.

For information about travel and commuting during the MOF/Papal Visit, please refer to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s page, SEPTA and the Pope’s Visit: Everything You Need to Know.
